West Village Family
I know I don’t typically post many of my family sessions but I LOVE doing them and I wanted to share one of my favorites from this Summer so far! My family sessions (and actually all of my sessions) are very relaxed. I think that’s the best way to get real, honest photos that represent how a family (or a couple) really is. I find inspiration for my engagement sessions from family sessions and vice versa. I think it’s important to shoot different subjects, it’s refreshing and allows me to take a different perspective on things!
This adorable family was visiting from Australia. Noah was just about to turn one and they thought it would be fun to take photos around the city while they were visiting. Great idea if you ask me!! We woke up early and wandered to all of my favorite spots in the West Village. I was beyond impressed with Noah’s walking skills at such a young age. Lots of New Yorkers were out and about walking their dogs and Noah made sure we stopped to play with each one! He pointed and smiled at everything (and as a 1 year old in nyc for the first time there is a lot to look at!). It was just about the cutest thing ever. I learned what a “babychino” was (which is froth with powdered chocolate on top.. a popular baby treat in Australia) and we got Noah his very first babychino ever. I was so happy to be there to capture it as well as all these fun nyc memories for this family.
