2015 Review

2015, it was a huge year for me both personally and professionally. Most importantly, I married my best friend and life post-wedding just keeps getting better. Professionally, it was a crazy busy (and fun!) year and looking back at the photos I can’t believe all of these were taken in 2015. I am realizing I have a ton more to blog over the next few months so stay tuned and here are some of my favorite moments from 2015 (if I shared all of them you’d be sitting here for hours). And if you make it down to the bottom you’ll see some other fun shoots and projects I worked on this year (that are totally different from weddings and engagements and include my trip out to Cali… it’s worth the scroll!)
Looking back on these photos, I’m bummed to say I didn’t pick up my camera enough when I was around family or just hanging out with Logan. I’d like to think that’s fairly common when your taking photos every day for your “work” but this year I’m going to make a better effort to take more photos of my personal life, no matter how mundane or repetitive some days feel. Because 40 years from now I want to remember how truly good life is right now. :)

I photographed a calligraphy workshop for Ashley Buzzy at the Sarah Seven boutique in Soho (still working on my calligraphy skills… but Ashley’s workshop is perfect for someone looking to learn a new hobby):

I photographed my first look book. It was different from anything I’ve ever done (and I loved it).

A fun re-branding shoot for the now Allison Koehler (previously Little Reds Well):

I rented an Airbnb with friends where we had no internet and hardly any cell service for the weekend. We chatted for hours over delicious meals and came up with a really exciting project we’ll be working on in 2016. ;)

And I went on an incredible trip to California for Photo Field Trip. It was amazing in every way possible and I got to hang out with these lovely ladies for a few days:
