Shenorock Shore Club Wedding
Wedding season is finally here! And I’m noticing a trend with a lot of the venues I’ve been shooting at so far so I thought Cate and Ryan’s wedding at the Shenorock Shore Club would be the perfect wedding to share first.
I first met Cate and Ryan over a year ago at Ted & Honey in Cobble Hill. From our first email exchange I knew I was going to love them. They opened up right away and I felt like a part of the wedding through the entire planning process. They chose to have their wedding at Cate’s family’s shore club. A place near and dear to their hearts where Cate grew up going and Cate and Ryan have spent many days escaping hot Brooklyn for the tranquil scene at Shenorock. Cate and Ryan are both creatives (Cate is an editor and stylist at a well known magazine and Ryan is a designer for an ad agency). Not only were the details of their wedding so beautiful but everything was thought out and had meaning behind it. Ryan designed all the paper at the wedding. They included a portrait of their dog, Gibson, on their take away gifts which were homemade sea salt mixes. How adorable is that?
Cate put together her own bouquet. And I have to give her major props because it only took her about five minutes and it was completely stunning. Their first look at the end of the pier was so beautiful and one of my favorite first looks of all time. Cate and Ryan exchanged personal vows which had everyone laughing and in tears at the same time (including me). After the ceremony guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the deck of the club before dinner and dancing inside. There were threats of storms all day and once guests went inside for dinner the sky turned dark and moody (the perfect chance for sunset photos). There are so many highlights from the day I could go on and on forever. But I’ll let the photos do the talking. And make sure you get all the way down to the bottom for their epic cake cutting. A cake cutting while dancing to “Can’t Feel My Face.” Epic. Cate and Ryan you guys are awesome. Congratulations!!
And a huge thank you to my second shooter, Claire Teator!
