VHYC Weddin
In just a few hours Logan and I are heading up for a long weekend on the Vineyard. I have no weddings or shoots this weekend so I’m looking forward to lots of family time, fresh seafood and bumming around on the beach with my book and Chili (our puppy). I thought it would be perfect timing to share Lauren and Tyler’s wedding at the Vineyard Haven Yacht Club (which is where we had our rehearsal dinner and brunch for our wedding in September). So many elements of their wedding reminded me of our wedding, and I am now even more giddy about our trip after going through these images again. :)
You may remember Lauren and Tyler from their engagement session last year in Edgartown. They are a super chill couple who live in Colorado but Lauren has grown up vacationing on the Vineyard. We hit it off right away and their wedding was one for the books. They got ready at gorgeous houses on the water across the street from one another. It started raining right before their ceremony started, but Lauren and Tyler weren’t going to let that change their plans. They kept with their original plan of having the ceremony on the dock. The guests huddled under a sea of umbrellas and the rain stopped just as Lauren walked down the aisle. They exchanged vows that pulled at my heart strings, and I don’t think their was a single dry eye on that dock. After the ceremony the guests enjoyed a lobster bake (which was so much fun to photograph) and dancing on the deck of the club. This was one of those weddings where you can really feel the love and excitement not only between the couple but from all the guests as well. Everyone was in a joyous mood (even with the rain) and who doesn’t love lobster at a wedding?! Enjoy!
And a huge thank you to my second shooter Allison Sullivan!
