Catskills Weekend

In December, Logan and I went upstate for the weekend with our friends John and Mina. Mina found an incredible airbnb, called the Acorn Hill House, that I immediately fell in love with (we all did). It was simple – no tv, hardly any wifi and an open layout with an amazing kitchen. The design of this home is just plain awesome and as you can see the light flowing through the big windows in the kitchen was a photographers dream so my camera was in the living room 100% of the trip.

John is a chef and together him and Mina prepare some seriously delicious meals together. (Which Logan and I benefit from and have started cooking more because of them).  We started Saturday morning with a bloody mary bar before exploring the area and walking around Woodstock. And of course getting tacos at Diego’s in Kingston. Then on Sunday morning we had another feast at our airbnb.

These photos are all from our home for the weekend. It’s not a wedding or an engagement shoot like I typically show on my blog but it’s a true Sunday morning spent the right way. Slowing things down and enjoying time with the people you care about. No constant instagram checking or watching netflix all day.  It was an incredible weekend. I left feeling refreshed, inspired and excited to capture more moments like these.
