Greenpoint Engagement

I love when couples want to take their engagement photos in their own neighborhood. The photos really feel like them and it’s something they’ll always have to look back on. I also love starting (or ending) a shoot with drinks at a nearby restaurant. It helps to have an activity to do to calm the nerves. And there are so many picturesque restaurants in Brooklyn!  Lucky for me, Stephanie and David were up for both of these ideas!

Stephanie and David live in Greenpoint and after walking through their neighborhood with them, I was almost ready to move there myself! We started with Summer inspired drinks and oysters at Sauvage. We then walked around their area over to their local bookstore, Word. I am a huge fan of local bookstores (especially after just visiting Books are Magic which is the new local bookstore by me). We took a quick look inside and then headed over to Transmitter Park for sunset. I’m still amazed we hit so many spots during their shoot, and I’m so happy we did.

Stephanie and David are getting married this Fall up in the Hudson Valley. And I am so excited to head up there and document their day!
